We renewed the corporate website for SEMCO Co., Ltd., a tank monitoring system specialist that develops level measurement and control equipment for ships and onshore plants.

With a leading share of the domestic level gauge market, SEMCO had come to be seen simply as “the level gauge company.” In reality, the company has been evolving into a solutions provider, using IoT and DX to solve customer challenges with not only its own products but also third-party equipment where needed. The goal of this renewal was to communicate that turning point: a shift from selling products to delivering solutions.

At the heart of the renewal is a newly created Solutions section. Based on real implementation cases, each story presents the customer’s challenge and SEMCO’s answer from two perspectives, SEMCO’s and the customer’s. By visualizing the full process, from initial consultation through Needs Assessment, Solution Selection, manufacturing and delivery, the section lets visitors picture exactly what happens when they bring a problem to SEMCO.

For the first view, we paired the company’s guiding principle, “Creating What Doesn’t Exist,” with the phrase “Create and grow,” expressing SEMCO’s commitment to generating new value through co-creation with customers and the wider industry. Visually, a grid represents the precision of a company built on measurement, while flowing liquid motion reflects both its field of business and its flexible thinking. Together, they reframe measurement not as a tool, but as a solution.

We also reorganized the product, philosophy and careers content, and launched the site in both Japanese and English. As an information platform built for global growth, the site runs on a CMS that allows SEMCO’s team to keep news and solution case studies up to date in-house.
